| First things first... If you're here because you're looking for my writing; you're in the wrong place. DO NOT add me if you're only interested in my fics - they have nothing to do with this journal. So anyway... I'm amber. I'm a bit strange, apparently. I created this Live Journal in 2002. My username then was emotionallysick, and remained that way until early 2008. I have since changed my username to musicophilia. The name comes from a book of the same title, written by Oliver Sacks. Musicophilia - Tales of Music and the Brain. It really is wonderful reading; in fact, I read most of it whilst waiting for the doors to open at a HIM concert in March 2008. I decided that Ville Valo may enjoy the book as well, so I gave it to him and bought myself another copy. I may not suffer from Musicophilia as described in the book, but I definitely can't live without my music. That aside... Writing a "bio" about myself isn't exactly something I'm good at. In fact, most people suck at it, because, well, it wouldn't really be accurate, would it? How you see yourself is often very different to how other people see you... That being the case, it doesn't really matter what I say about myself, because it probably wouldn't be correct! People regularly use the following words when talking about me: freak, weirdo, eccentric, crazy, odd, fruit loop, etc. If we stick solely to facts, though, I can tell you that I'm currently 27 years of age, I'm married, tattooed, and rarely satisfied with life. One thing I will say though, is that years ago, I was diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety, and OCD. I do not think depression is cool and I would give anything to get rid of it. Same goes for the anxiety and OCD. This is my journal, and I'll write whatever I want to. If you don't like it, or you don't agree with something I've said, then the solution is simple - just fuck off. No one forced you to read this, and no one has the right to tell me what to do. I'm a slasher and a tattoo addict, I don't exactly follow the latest trends, and I speak my mind. It tends to get me in trouble, too, but I don't believe in beating around the bush; after all, a spade is a spade, right? I have much appreciation for great music, great writers, and great friendships. My journal is primarily Friends Only, but I have a habit of being lazy and not locking all posts. Every now and then, I go back and do a mass-locking of my public posts... |
